Sleep – Dopesmoker
Sleepiä pidetään yhtenä ensimmäisistä Stoner-bändeistä. Heidän kolmas albuminsa ei syntynyt aivan kivuitta. Albumilla oli vain yksi tunninmittainen biisi eli tämä Dopesmoker, josta myös levyn nimeä kaavailtiin. Levy-yhtiö piti kuitenkin albumia kaupallisena itsemurhana. Niinpä Sleep uudelleennauhoitti biisin, lyhentäen sitä noin viitenkymmeneen minuuttiin ja muuttaen nimen Jerusalemiksi. Ei kelvannut edelleenkään levy-yhtiölle. Tästä turhautuneena Sleep hajosi.
Myöhemmin toinen levy-yhtiö kuitenkin suostui albumin julkaisemaan. Näin Jerusalem näki päivänvalon 1999. Ja lopulta 2003 he julkaisivat myös alkuperäisen Dopesmoker-nauhoituksen. Sanathat kuvaavat juuri sitä, mitä biisin nimi lupaakin.
